WindVector Air Data Computer

The WindVector has the following features:

  • Easy to read large LCD

  • Airspeed
  • True Airspeed

  • Altitude
  • Vertical Speed
  • Density Altitude

  • Air Temperature

  • Magnetic Heading with tilt compensation

  • Wind vector calculation

  • GPS NMEA 0183 interface to get ground speed and ground track
  • GPS Aviation format coming soon!

This is a really cool instrument.  It is great to have the actual airspeed instead of the dial.  So i can really nail my speeds down to a specific number...i find that i fly approaches better than when using my airspeed indicator.

Knowing where the wind vector is great when trying to optimized cross country speed.  It is cool when flying to see the wind vector shift while you are climbing.  You can easily pick the best altitudes.

Better pic coming soooon!

This display shows (from the top)

  • Magnetic Heading (tilt compensated)
  • G-Forces
  • Outside Air Temperature
  • Airspeed
  • True Airspeed
  • Altitude
  • Vertical Speed
  • Density Altitude
  • WindVector (not shown as the GPS was not connected when this pic was taken).
