Hi List, this might be old news to some...but for anyone who has not done their brake system here is a great tip! I have the matco wheels/brakes supplied by mustang aero with the remote resevoir on the firewall. I spent about 2 hours trying to fill my brake lines with the red hydraulic fluid. I kept getting air bubbles and everytime i sealed the line a few more bubbles about 2" long would appear...it was frustrating. The low pressure side of the line would just not stay filled. Hydraulic fluild was everywhere..i was hot in my 100degree florida garage...and not very happy...i knew something must be wrong....so i did some research and found out that filling from the bottom works the best...?? This sounded a bit weird at first...but hey i'll try anything at this point. So i went to home depot and bought 5ft of 1/4" tubing for $0.70 and two oil can squirter for $4.00 each. I filled each oil squirter can with hydraulic fluid and attached to the bleeder line on each brake using the 1/4" tubing. The seal wasn't perfect but it didn't matter. I then pumped up the fluid on each brake line to fill the system up to the resevoir. I tightned up the bleeder valve on the brake and the pedals were rock hard when depressing and guess what...NO air bubbles!!! I didn't have to pump the pedals or do anything else...just close off the valve. Took all of 10min once i knew what i was doing.... cheers, Mark N515MD ...just waiting on my cowling and i'm done! -Test flight to be done at VDF probably around sept 1.
